MUNCIE 4 SPEED original oil

MUNCIE TRANS came with 80/90 GL4 gear lube...  If you read articles, in Chevelle forums, some have had troubles with other oils...  IF you want to keep it all GM ,I found AC DELCO GL4 only oil today at a Car Quest store that deals with AC Delco..   part # 89021672    Carl2

Oh man, don't tempt me Carl, what I wouldn't do to get that Muncie back in the street car, those were the days! Glad I have a friend that will let me take his car for a spin and shift those gears again, oh, I can hardly wait!

Thanks for the oil tip. I was going to try Royal Purple. Now I will use the GM oil and feel better about it. I have 3 cars with Muncies. Love the sound in first gear.

I'm with you Carl. GM lubricants all the way for me too.

When I had my 6 speed Impala SS the guys on the SS forum constantly jabbered about all the different oils a guy needed to use in it.
