Interior guru's...need advice/direction

Well I have 67 buckets in my 64 and have some what of a dilemma.  My original plan was to buy 64 covers and redo them, not knowing that these are a different width.  I would like to find a solution, because these seats are in such good condition.  Soooooooooo, I guess that I have  couple of options:

Could I possibly take the 64 repops to an upolstery shop and get them to fit(to 67 seat)?  Any idea?

I could sell these and buy the right ones, but then I would have to spend some time to find something in good shape as these.(I want to drive the car this year)

Or I'm thinking maybe buy the 67 repop, front and back.  Any idea if the back would fit (67 cover on 64 seat).  This option is the pits too, if only they didn't have the tell tale stripe down the middle.

See pics.

Someone else may know better, but I doubt that you can put 64 covers on a 67 seat, or 67 covers on a 64 seat. They are such a completely different type of seat, I can't see how it would work.

Hey 64 canso

An upholstery shop can add or remove material to make your seats work. You can have almost any type of material added to the sides by a good shop. They can make it look factory.

Hi Floyd, I can't help you with your problem, but maybe you could help me with one of mine. Would you mind taking some shots of those seats patterns so I can have some new hydes made up? Come to think of it, I 'll take some of mine and post them . As i have no idea, they may be the right year for yours

The 1966 seat covers don't have the white stripe and have the same seat frame, why not order them?

before you decide to order a 66 or 67 seat kit -- the back seat on a 66/67 hardtop is a different shape -- covers will not properly fit your 64 back seat frame -- I found this out the hard way about 10 years ago -- Menno
