How many Manitobans Here?

Hi just signed up and curious to see how many fellow manitobans are on here??? This is a great site. Unfortunetly I don't own a pontiac yet but do have a 67 2DR 427 Biscayne all #'s and a 67 Impala convert. Is there any REAL 427 cars around manitoba??? Pontiac or chev???  Andrew.

The car is abit rough but all numbers matching so it will be saved. Looks as if it may have been a cop car??? It has the 140MPH speedo and some strange plugs in the dash pad that looks like lights may have been mounted there???

Hey, cool car.

I'm from Morris, 1/2 hour south of you.

I don't have them any more, but I've had 3 real 427 cars.

69 Grande Parisienne 4 door hardtop, all options except tilt.
68 Impala Custom (Caprice roofline) TH400, tilt, cruise
69 Parisienne convertible red, white top and interior, TH400

Also had a 66 Grande Parisienne factory 4 speed car 20 years ago. I put the 427 from the above convertible into it. I recently tracked the car down in Ottawa (thanks to some help here on this forum) but it's not for sale.

I will have to think a bit on 427 cars. None come to mind at the moment, at least not factory numbers matching cars.

Mine are gone. I parted all 3 of them out. The 4 dr ht I sold a whack of options to guys all over the place. The 427 I sold to a friend in Wpg.

The convert I parted out and put the 427 in my 4 speed car eventually.

The 68 Impala 427 I parted out, kept the engine and ran it in my 65 Acadian until about 2 years ago, then sold the engine to a guy in Edmonton building a 69 Chevelle Yenko clone. He is a cousin to the friend who has the 69 Grande Parisienne 427 engine.

You don't happen to know of any 66 Grande Parisienne 2 door hardtops for sale, do you?

Not at the moment but will keep my eyes open for ya. There are a ton of hidden cars here in manitoba. I know of a 67 SS427, 68 SS427 and a 69 SS427 ( impala's) all just sitting and rotting close to Winnipeg.

You obviously know Bob Chubala if you are into these cars???

Andrew, I'm going to bet that 427 car came from Redwater, Ab, from the Aerotique yard.
I was asking about that car 5-7 years ago, but they wanted too much for it.
Carl1, that's the same yard that those pics of the 454 Parisienne convertible came from.
I ended up buying a 68 Beaumont 2 door post for parts from them.

The car came from Gibbons, Ab, a place called muscle and more. He has alot of cool cars there. Some rare rare stuff. When i bought the car there he was restoring a 69Z28 JL8 cross ram car for a guy in BC. He used to own the car. Also he has a 66 Impala SS convert L72 427 4 spd. 1 of 8 built in canada and he pulled it out of a junk yard in Yellowknife NWT. I will call him and see if he has any beaumonts?? What were they asking for my car back then?? Andrew.

Yeah, it's the same yard. He's been restoring that cross-ram Z since then.( 2002?) There weren't too many Beaumonts there when I was there. I bought this post parts car then. I'm thinking the son wanted 10G for the Biscayne at the time. How much do they want for the 66 Convert? Does it have any of the original powertrain, and what shape is it in? ( Do you have any pictures?)

The 66 is numbers matching and he is currently restoring it. The motor was in the trunk. The car had no front end on it as it was hit there. He has NOS quarters for the car. Should be nice when done. I'm not sure if it is for sale??? He was asking 10G for my car with a parts car too. I did not want the rusty parts car so I got it for less.

He's missing the "427" that goes above those flags, unless they are just not pictured.

Was the Biscayne a 67??? Was it a 4 Speed???? I have never seen or even heard of this car before. And I have talked to alot of people and they have not seen a 67 BB biscayne around for many many years. I would love to see this car if its original for resto references. Once again there are tons of cars around here that you hardly ever see. There is a 69 COPO Camaro for sale here too. Andrew G.

Here's what the whole setup should look like. I bought these about 25 years ago and ran just the 427 part on my 4 speed car.
