do anyone know how many of these models were made? I viewing a 68 restored unit with the 396 automatic with bucket seats , and even has stock wire wheel hubcaps. side of the fender has a decal says sd396 your help is appreciated. dave
Hi Dave. Welcome to the site. There were 702 1968 Beaumont SD396s built. 680 of those sold in Canada and the other 22 left the country. They were all 396/325hp or 350hp engines. Estimates I have seen say that there are 10-15% left. So maybe 100 still exist. Before buying the car, are you sure it's a real SD. The VIN should start with 738. You can call GM of Canada with the VIN number and get documentation for the car. The SD is acutally Sport Deluxe. James
