Another Newbie

Hi Guys, another Newbie here, not sure if I'll be welcome or not, but I let u know what I've got. It's a 64 Pontiac Lemans, with Canadian pontiac engine, i know this is a Canadian Pontiac site but I seen some close by people on here and thought I would join in. It a 2dr hardtop, 4spd car, currently with SBC, 350, m21, 3:23 rear gears, buckets console, but need body work. Last summer I was able to drive it for the first time in over 20 years and were itching to get her again.

Thanks Guys, It's taken a while to get this far but slowly making progress, Bumpers went out this winter to get rechromed, new aluminum rad and fan shroud. Had the body off and did some trunk floor work. Nothing real fancy, just a driver. new picture of rad and hoses.

You and I will get along just fine! I had a 64 convertible project for 18years. Never finished it, finally sold it to a friend, and he seems to be getting along on it.

Originally a Tempest, but I had all the GTO stuff for it, and about every factory option available for a 64 plus a few!

It was a real solid car that had been off the road since 1975.

My bro bought this car in 79, drove it for about 3 years then it parked, been from barn to barn and finally ended up at my place. I bought it off him and started on it approx 12 years ago, with the last 4 getting serious about it. Got 4 years to get paint on it, my youngest Daughters grad. LOL. Still needs quarters and outer wheel wells, but that's a bodyshop job. It's been fun finding body parts for it as u might know. Got a u tube vid of first time out of shop on own power.

Sure sounds good.

I have a few spares left from the project that the buyer didn't take. Anything you are missing or need to find better stuff?

Oh good luck with the hood. I have a rusty crashed one that you could salvage the scoop part of the metal from, that's it.

I lucked out and got my rust free hood about 80 miles away for 500 bucks.

I have tail lights, some headlight rings, I think a good bumper core, gas filler door, hmmm, there's more but I kind of forget at the moment. Oh, a tilt column, but it wouldn't be cheap!

Well have a look around and let me know what u have, besides the column, I have about 3 set of taillights but one can never had enough right, might br interested in the headlight rings, if ya got some pictures. Ya i know about the hood, LOL, last one I seen on E rape or EBAY went for like 1500. Seen a nos rear quarter for 4000. Not in a rush for anything so don't go out of your way to look.
