Here is a shot I have had for a long time of a 427. Maybe it can help someone looking to know how things should be for a factory delivered look, I can't imagine this engine has been touched. Also a close up of an air cleaner decal.
There is a little booth at red deer swap meet that has lots of stickers for pontiac engines if anyone is looking for some.
Would you mind letting us know what he has, I am sure there will be takers especially if there are those ones with the flags that seem so popular around here.
I guess there are some bad to bone Mouse motors out there.. lol heres a picture of a big boy, who wears his flags on his arm..
I always loved the flags, thought about putting them on my fender a few times, but never on my arm, that is so cool. If you got it, flaunt it! Let's face it, size does matter. A Mouse can never be a Rat !
I think those are both photos I took. The first is an unmolested gold 2+2 for sale about 8 years ago on a farm in Saskatchewan.
The second, however, is a shot of my old air cleaner and those are replica decals. The real ones have a 3D bevel, and repros are just flat stickers. Oh, how I'd love to find an original set of decals!
Actually, I'm not sure there was any way to order a Canadian car with the chrome air cleaner. Maybe in a Beaumont, but in the B-body the best you could do was a 427/390 with a snorkel air cleaner.
This car has disappeared. I thought perhaps you bought it Dave!
Does anyone know where the gold 2+2 ended up? Did anyone hear what it sold for? I corresponded the seller over a year ago but 1) I lost the contact info 2) don't think it's cool to badger them after the fact anyway.
I hope it did not get broken for parts! It was such a rare car
