Saw this in Autotrader in Detroit guy says its a rare 1 of 1500 built.. 17 thou or b/o has something sticking through hood... Guy thinks its a Pontiac, but he is a American..
My friend Peter Lerette, in Sackville N.B. sent me a copy of a GM report on a 1969 Acadian SS car.. THE GM guru says, on the print out, its a Pontiac Acadian.. I wonder if this was a clerical error? I guess that why the dude in Detriot called it a Pontiac...

It's interesting that the 69 Acadian was built in Willow Run, MI and exported to Canada.

Wow I didnt know that I thought they were Cdn produced there werea lot of them around.. does that mean the Acadians were not built here?
No different than when we had the Chevette based Acadian or the Astre. They just built them in the same plant that made the Cheby clone and then shipped them to the Great White North.

Just 69 and 70 I'd say when Oshawa or St. Therese did not run Novas. Just an educated quess.
Acadians were built in Willow Run Mi from '68-'71. The last canadian built Acadian was made in Oshawa in '67. There's a lot of information about the Acadian/Beaumont line in the Acadian/Ventura section of this site. For the record, Acadian was it's own brand. I think the fact Pontiac introduced the "Pontiac Acadian" in the late '70's leeds to a lot of confusion. Lets face it though, if they were Pontiacs, it would say so on the manuals, steering wheel, door panels, hood grille.....SOMEPLACE ON THE CAR!!! Dan
