Hi, kirk from elmvale,ont. For the last 3 years I would drive by and see this car resting under the old oak tree(no rope present).I would stop and talk to the owner and finally last summer I was able to save enough pennies to bring this 57 Pontiac 4dr to my home.I havent worked on it yet, but it doesnt need much ,some back wheel studs , to put it back on the road.My 16 yr old son has his license now, so we hope to have it ready once all this snow goes away. 57 Pontiac 4dr 283 cc mileage says 15,069 or 75,069 cant read it properly will post pictures as soon as i can figure that out.
Sounds like a neat story! I know Elmvale, even though I'm from Toronto, family cottages at Woodland Beach and Lafontainne for past 50 years! What concession was that hidden treasure on?

Balm Beach, indeed, there was a whole field of oldies there on concession 10 just up from the Go Karts for years but the owner finally sold the land and moved them all to Hwy 93 just down from Brooklea Country club about 4 years ago. There is a fellow in Penetang with a very nice 57 Laurentian, maybe should you look him up...Memory Lane Cruisers. I took this photo at the Supercentre Cruise, held each year at the Real Canadian Super Store on Hwy 93, right beside the Rona. You can see my blue hood up in the air behind him.
I remember driving up to Elmvale from Barrie....there used to be a 55-57 Pontiac sedan delivery on the left hand side by a barn up there........Apparently very rare cars.

Indeed they did.......Low production Sedan delivery, approximately 1,300 built and sold through Canadian GMC dealers. Based on 1955-56 Chevrolet chassis and running gear using 261 cubic inch straight six cylinder with 3 speed manual shift. Sold with no radio, cigarette lighter or right side visor.
