Hi from St. Thomas

I found this site a couple days ago.  Nice to find a site devoted to Canadian cars.  My first car was a 1980 Parisienne 2 door.  Now i've finally got another Pontiac in my life.  This one isn't a Canadian built car, however it is a rare car in Canada, built for the CDN marketplace.  And it just hit 25 years old last year, so it's not from the good old days but it's always been a great looking car, if not even as much HP as a Sunfire.  However last year i bought an 82 Trans Am with Crossfire injection.  It's one of 274 in Canada with T-tops.  The car is a WS7 car, same as the WS6 option but not equipped with disc brakes all the way around.  Eventually i'll get it restored, for now it's driveable and i'm just enjoying having it.  Hopefully even though not as classic as many of the other Ponchos here, it can find a home with you all.  Again great site and i look forward to being a part of it.
Sometime i'll take some pics of my father-in-laws 66 Beaumont Custom Convertible, now there's a car!

Great looking Firebird! A rare car like that is worth restoring. It won't be long before the values of these cars start to really climb.

Welcome, and we are waiting for those pics!

Don't promise us and then not follow up. That is considered teasing around here!

I'm going to keep my Trans Am stock, no Knight Rider conversion on this one.  While i like KITT, i've decided i want to maintain the stock look, especially considering the rarity of this bird.  I do have the bowling ball hubcaps coming from Oklahoma for it.  They're an original set that will have to get holes drilled in and plastic ties added...that's the trick to not losing those things.  Meanwhile i've got another 82 at home now, it's an S/E and i'm using it for some parts.  For a daily driver does anyone need a 2.8 V6 2BBL engine with 200,000 and the transmission for it?  If so someone can come and rip it on out of the S/E just give me a reasonable offer.  Anyway i'm glad i found this car, going to save me a bit on finding some of the parts i need.  So many of these cars are rust buckets now but these two overall aren't so bad.  And once the car shows start and the Beaumont is out, i'll take some pics and post them.  After the car got restored last year i got to drive it, drove like a dream and hearing that 396 with the dual exhausts...oh sorry, didn't mean to tease.biggrin
