My brother bought a 70 SS 350 4spd Acadian that was only 2 years old and he put headers on it a few years latter. I don`t remember the car having smog tubes on the exhaust. I bought one a few years back and it does not have smog system and the manifolds on the car are dated corect. I wanted to know if the other 70 SS owners have smog or not.
I had a 70 Chevelle 396........It had no smog pump or ports in the manifolds, but yet, I saw others that did.......I think it has to do with where the car was built for back then. Some states had stricter smog rules (Calif)............Maybe, the same deal here in Canada.
