My Dad (ALWAYS) bought his cars from the same saleaman at Steeves Motors, in Moncton... He took me there in Feb 72, and I bought the 1972(PONTIAC) Ventura Sprint 307 3 speed off the showroom floor.. traded in 70 Torino Cobra 429 paid 1000.00 difference! Dad was grinning ear to ear, as I bought it from HIS saleman....
In 1972 ,We just had our first child, and the mint 14,000 mile Torino was a gas hog, and i wanted to be a responsible Dad.. In those days, cars were a dime a dozen... The Ventura ended up with a quad, headers, and 4 speed, and turbo mufflers and ran 15.1@93 with 3.08 open and was faster than the Torino
