Do you remember me talking about the 60 Laurentian 2 dr ht that we had at the Pontiac dealership in the early 80's? That car had that same area on the top of the back window. Looks really cool.

very very nice I love it and I'm not a pre 65 fan would a (big)V8 fit in there?
To be period accurate it would need to be a 348 3x2 bbl, could stretch it to a 409 and I don't think anyone would mind. The boys on Horespower TV built a dual 4bbl - 492 HP - 409 on this weekend's show BUT this car is too nice to alter imo.
"Hello and thanks for your interest. The car runs like a top! He would like to get around 17,000.00 for it and offers are coming in but have not reached his acceptable level.
My father has collected and restored a number of vehicles and tractors over the last 30 years and now is starting to sell off in an attempt to focus on just a couple. This was originally purchased in Woodstock Ontario and my father is the second owner."
The price may be a touch high due to the 6 cyl. If it were an 8 I'd say that's fair if it is as clean as it looks.

Todd , We (you) could slip that rebuilt small block, in it, and everyone would love it. more.
Thanks C2, so if I am right then it wouldn't take much to have that 261 making more juice than the 283. I remember being in Dad's 61 Strato Chief doing well over 100 mph with the 261, it's not like they were anchors.
i would love to see that car before it gets sold, ive never seen another one except mine. Love the black and red combo. I have one side and the front and back in the matte black and the top will be a light green color. I will post some pics when i get the no engine spark problem dealed with. I think its the coil so i have to get a new one.
I have posted this story before but it is too crazy not mention agian. My Uncle bought a '59 in Coral with white top. He loved that "pink" car so much he actually painted the Christmas Tree pink that year with all white ornaments...this is true and it was in the days before rattle cans so he brushed it. I'll always remember his 59 Coral Pontiac and Pink Christmas tree.
It really is a nice looking car. When I was young back in the early 70's we always put deep dish chrome reverse on these "narrow track" Pontiacs to make them look like the yankee Bonnevilles and Catalinas
Can you get "hop up" parts for the 261 (split manifolds, dual carb intakes, cams etc). If so, that'd be the way to go on this one (or just leave it stock and enjoy it) Todd
You can get hop up parts from Clifford. There was a vendor at Ancaster that had all kinds of performance parts for the 261. He had some fenton headers. a few intakes 2x1, 3x1, single 4 barrell. I've got a set of .030 12.5 to 1 compression pistons made by Ertel for a 261 just in case some day I want to build a performance 261. I've also got 2 spare 1955 261 engines. I've been told the best cylinder head to use would be a 1962 261 head. It is supposed to have the smallest combustion chamber and the best flow capabilities. I do not know what modifications the head would need anybody have any information on this ? It would be nice to find a McGurk ( I think ) that is the name performance head. Al
