Is it considered bad luck if you find a dead rat on the trunk of your 35 year old Pontiac...and I'm not talking about a beat 396 or 427, I mean a rangey 10 inch tailed SOB. I just found one on my trunk and Jr. came out with a Hockey stick and rifled it off, then we had a good laugh about the old Florida Panther's Rat Trick!

I would think that it is not bad luck. It could have been in a wall in your house or somewhere else that you wouldn't have found it so easily. Or it could have been alive feasting on your Poncho.
As far as I'm concerned, rats do less damage to a car than mice. We did have one customer who had a pile of chewed wiring from a rat though. That seems to be rare, fortunately.
