My NHL post is bombing so how about this one, Know Any Actors?
I know Sheila McCarthy, star of Little Mosque On The Prairie, winner of two Genie awards, two Gemini and two Dora Awards.
I also know Phyllis Ellis, Director of the Wilkinsons and winner of a Genie for a cameo appearance on the show. (My son says they were crashed at her house, his buddy Max is her son, and Max walks into the room saying hey guys ever seen one of these...and he's holding the Genie....thought that was kind of funny)
I was interviewed by Kathryn Humphries of City TV when The Pilot Tavern (which I am part owner of) did our annual "What's wrong with the Leafs lunch". You think she's hot on TV, you ain't seen nuthin' till you see her in person! Her family used to own the Oshawa Generals, I'm not sure if they still do though.
The Pilot is located quite close to Yorkville so we get our share of celebrities passing through. A few months ago Brent Butt of Corner Gas was drinking with his buddies at a table next to ours; being typical Canadians we respected their privacy and didn't try join in their conversation.
Given we have jazz on the weekends, we have had just about every Canadian jazz icon play there, too many to list.
As far as I am concerned, by far the hottest celebrity we have had there is the actress Diane Lane, she is absolutely amazing for someone in her mid 40's - Va Va Voom!

I can agree with that....She's born in 1965 making her 43.
