401 flying debris!

A customer came into the dealership the other day. She was driving on the 401 when all of a sudden this happened:

I was told it's some sort of tool trucker use. She wasn't sure if it was a deliberate act or not. I told her to call the OPP to report it anyway. It's hard to tell the but other end of this thing came up to the edge of the dash! She's very lucky she wasn't injured!

Thank goodness she was not injured or involved in an accident. Clearly she had a Guardian Angel watching over her that day.

Not picking on truckers but in November 2006 I got run over and dragged by a 100,000 pound tanker in my Bonneville (RIP). I walked away unscathed too. It sure makes you look at your daily life differently. I can tell you that the next Sunday my offering envelope was a lot thicker than normal !

fifteen years ago a parts guy at our GM Dealership at the time was on the 401 coming from the airport a rock came through the windsheild (safety glass!)-he went for cover-it exited the rear sliding window into the box of his truck denting the inside of his tailgate !

You type [ ] with the letters url in there at the beginning of the link, and the same thing at the end with a / in front of the letter u and it will make it live.

I can't show you exactly by doing it here because then it tries to make everything in between it a link, if you know what I mean. Kind of like url at each end with [ ] around it, and the second url gets a / in front of hit. Hope that explains it.

There is an easier way (as long as you use the full reply feature and not the quick reply). What I do is type "CLICK HERE" and then highlight it. Once you highlight text the little "chain" symbol above the text window shows up. Click on it and in the URL window, paste or type in your URL. Click ok and now when someone clicks on the words "CLICK HERE" they will go the site.

Glad your customer was alright. We had a Biker that was not quite so lucky, Thursday night a truck driver thought he felt his trailer hit a big bump, only to see a motorcylcle come from under the tires, he never seen any bike coming and did not know how it got there, Biker was deceased.
