Had another great show here in Calgary today. Quite a few Ponchos made it. I talked to a few of the owners and told them to get on here, so we'll have a strong numbers from the West...LOL

His wagon is unique in that its a factory Nomad with a 348 auto, one of 220, sold. he also has a 59 el camino , 59 sedan delivery and a 60 impala 2 door HT

Great pics, thanks Funny weather this year, like winter ran long and the rest of the seasons started late. Lots of hail! God thing it's an older car made of thick metal! LOL

Not many folks would know the Nomad model continued after the famous two door tri 5's. Does he get a lot of questions about it ? Funny, I have a 1961 Sales brochure at home and I think a Nomad wagon is on the front or back cover in a light pastel green. There is a two tone Roman red with white inside with a write up on the wagons. One of those things, I have it but where is it? If I lay my hands on it I'll put some photos up from it.
Didn't Quite make it home and this fell from the Sky... Yes, thats hail piled on my car
I just watched a show on TV where the insurance companies pay this guy to fly into storms above Calgary to spray a chemical to make more hail,so Calgary doesn't get the real huge hail stones like in the 1995 storm.....size of baseballs.
Besides the 58-61's, I remember the Nomad name on Chevelle wagons around '68 to maybe '72 also a buddy had a Nomad Chevy Van I think was a '78 or '79?.
Hey sixtywagon...I've never looked closely at it but I know a guy that has a black '60 2 Dr. Post car he'll probably never get around to?. It's right here in Peterboro'...waiting for you to come home to!?.
And 73SC...when you find your '61 Brochure, please shine some pics of the '61 2 Dr. Post Biscayne Thriftmaster at me if there!.

He gets questioned about it constantly. Most people think he put the motor in and that its a 409. He does have the build sheet from GM, verifying it all. Heres a couple pics he sent me where he found it. Oh yea, Him and his wife to be were thrilled at the mouse nest they found under the headliner earlier this year.(They've been driving in it now for about 3 years) The mice had quite the condo complex in there...LOL

Car or otherwise, let me know if you're ever rolling back through town!. The '60 Post is black and sat on Lansdowne W. for a few years but now sits behind a bodyshop on Crawford Dr...you can see it from the Bipass..
As you well know, there's always fun going on here in town no matter what time of year!. The fair is this weekend also if you come in the winter I have a flock of old factory racing sleds...Alouettes, SnoJets, triple Blizzards, Ifs SnoPros etc.. If a stormy night, maybe we can relive dreams of your youth, fire a couple up and sneak in a few laps at the old Morrow Park track!? The free concerts and fireworks are every Wednesday and Saturday nights through the summer too.. Saw Glass Tiger on Sat. night, Streetheart a couple weeks ago also the original Ballroom Blitz group Sweet is coming in a few weeks!.
Where did you live and do you sill have any family still here?. I'm on the water, River Rd. S. across from Lock 19 pier...maybe your old fishin' spot?. If you're related to Ev Wood, he lives next door to me!.

Lived on Chamberlain St. About 2 blocks down from Monagan Rd. Went to Kenner, Man it has changed, was back in May for a funeral, and there is no-one around that I used to hang with. My step-father has an on going progect in his garage, a 49-50 Olds coupe, someday he'll finish it. LOL I may try to get back for XMas this year, I dunno yet though.
