just wondering if there is a place were i can get the original style(has the right bends in it) top and bottom rad hoses for my 59' 283. I went to canadian tire to try and get something close but a no go. Any suggestions?

You could try Carquest. I've had pretty good luck getting proper hoses for my old cars there.

i took a coat hanger bent straight and followed the bends that i wanted, then took it to napa and looked over there stock till i found something that was close. this method has worked for a couple of engine conversion over the years.

thanks for the tips guys. I took the rad hoses to canadian tire and the kid there looked for me but it was obvious he dident want to look real hard. I will try carquest and napa on friday, thanks guys.

If this is any help, here's some info gleened from online googling of hoses for a '59 Chevy 283..

If the info is correct, at least it shows what other year applications may fit?.
