No wonder GM is in financial trouble.
I've been a loyal GM truck guy all my life.My neighbour traded his 1995 GM truck on a 2007.I think he's on his 3rd tranny and wishes he never bought it.Word does get around and has stopped me from getting a new GM truck. When we were looking for a new family car we never even set foot on a GM lot.

My buddy bought a new '01 Chev Z-71 shortbox, 5.3 5speed and didn't like it from day one. He wanted a 5.7 5speed but they don't make them anymore. He had tranny noise and lifter noise and was told but the one service manager that it was totally normal???? He took it to another dealership, and they booked it in and re-built the trans, beacause it wasn't a "normal" sound. He got over it, and still owns the truck, but still is in contact with the guy who bought his '88 sportside with the 5.7 5speed, and is bugging him to sell it back to him...LOL(he bought the '88 new, also) Word had it the 88 was to be for a girl that wanted to pull a horse trailer and the tech's put a chip out of an IROC in it to make it work better. The truck was too light duty for towing, so she bought a dually. But when he took the shortbox in to get checked, they'd plug in the putor and it would read that it was an IROC. LOL
He has an '08 Nissan(company truck) with a 5.7 auto, and is rather impressed with it....He said he may consider buying something other than a GM, if he gets a new truck.

I remember a mid 70's Cadillac in London that was only a few years old and the owner has signs on it about the rust, etc. I made the London Free Press,(I think)

I've seen some 'sign guys' protesting a dealership before... but this one is a 'clone'....a photoshop job pasting some text on that truck...
