in winnipeg on the 22nd

On my way to the Pan Am clinic in winnipeg for friday the 22nd. First can anyone give me an idea where it may be? And second what is there to do in winnipeg , let me be more specific, i can imagine a lot to do, but is there any good performance parts shops or auto shows taking place?

Sunday night cruise night on Grant ave and "The Pony Coral" restauraunt.  Aprox only 1 block away from pan am clinic.  Also afterwards on sunday evenings, cruise portage ave starting at mainstreet and head west to route 90, you won't beilieve the caos and hot rods cruising the "strip"

Another cruise night on Regent st. towards the south end, as well every sunday nights, usually more cars than the one on Grant. I can't remember the name of the place though.

Is that when you are on your way to western Manitoba?

As stated, Sunday nights are great if the weather is good. Take it all it, you will be amazed at what a car town Winnipeg is. We may have a short season here, but we make up for it when the weather is nice.

With that said, we just spent almost 9 days sucking up some of your beautiful northwestern Ontario weather at the lake....

Is that the white 4-door Beaumont parts car from e-bay some time back ??

That's so funny..... years ago a friend and I bought that car... stripped some parts.... did not pick it up... and then it was gone ? Everyone in town was very quiet about where it went.

We recognized it in the e-bay pics but really didn't care about it anymore.

Sorry for the late response. While in winnipeg i recieved a cortizone shot and didn"t think it was wise to pick up car with arm about to fall off. I"m planning on going through this weekend. Didn"t know this car was sold and resold to me. In ontario when vehicle is sold ,ownerships get changed over so this doesn:t happen. Anyways , if you want i can tell you where it is if you want to pick it up, as i do feel bad. When i picked up the two door , no ownerships , just a bill of sale. Going to register after work tomorrow, any issues and i will be in a very irate mood. let me know.

Ben

If you have time for a coffee on the way through and it would work out for me, let me know. Maybe we can have a mini Canadian Poncho coffee break!

Oh, biggest car show of the year in Winnipeg this Sunday if you care...

I have no claim to the car anymore... many years have passed. I just thought it was an interesting story.

I was originally interested as a parts car for my 67 Chevelle convertible but.. I have scrounged most of the required stuff elsewhere over the years.

Lots of help from Carl (that's where the car came from originally) & John (68BeaumontWagon).
