Your car is looking fantastic Brad! I really like the way you have done it up, in "period" style. That interior is a work of art. Takes me right back to my youth. I can just imagine your car sitting in my high school parking lot.

Thanks Slinky I have GM docs for 3 69 SD's that were originally Matador Red. Two 325 HP cars and my 350 HP car. I guess your old car would make 4 total (so far).
One of these days i would like to get a picture of your car ,kevin car and my together for a picture, that would be great if we could My avatar is my old Sd-396 beaumont which had a short life.
A WORK OF ART!!!! It really shows the Effort you've put into it! It LOOKS BEAUTIFUL "PERIOD PERFECT" You should take some pics in Black and White, and then tell people this was the way it looked in the 70's when you first bought it....LOL

Thanks guys. Like I have said before. It sure makes all the work worthwhile when a fellow car guy appreciates what you have done. Here are a couple early pics. 1970 vintage
My neighbour stopped by on Saturday to ask if my car was a 68 or a 69. I asked which one because I have one of each. He said he had plates of both years that were in really good condition and I could have them if I wanted them. He wasn't kidding. The plates are like new. Here's a tail shot of the 69 with the plate installed, period correct.
Will you register the plates? Apparently it's a hit and miss to get them done. A lot of the 6 digit numbers got used up on Ont motorcycle plates, or so I'm told.

I am trying to get that done. I will start a new post in the lounge for this subject.
That is one sweet car. I'm a 65 beaumont SD nut but you might convert me. It's way more fun to take these cars completely apart then just patching them up. At least you know what you have.
Wow ,first time I noticed this thread.Absolutely wicked.Love everything about your car.Was never really a 68-69 beaumont fan but your car did it.The stripes and espesially the wheels. And of course the vave covers and air cleaner.Wow
Here is the GM Canada document from Oshawa for my 69 SD.
lotsa time between production date and shipping date
I checked paperwork for the other 69 SD's and it is not out of the ordinary. I have two odd ones. One is a 69 SD GM showroom account car that has a ship date one month after the build date. Another one must have had an engine problem. The engine number is 7 days after the production date. It was shipped 7 days after that. It's really interesting what you can find out when you get a bunch of paperwork for the same model. Ken, I'm sure you have lots for 67 SD's and find the same thing.
That's a beautiful car. I'd love to see it close up.Where in Ontario are you located? I've been to the pumpkin fest twice but not with my car. It snowed both times. Have you ever taken it to the Stratford Can. / Am. Club car show ? I've been to both last year and the 2nd annual this past September. It's a pretty show. It's a chevelle / Beaumont show and the only place I get to see like 20 beaumonts in one show. Hope to see you in 1 of the shows in the new season. Love your car. Leo
Hi Brad. I was just going through my pictures of the Stratford car show from last September and I'm sure I have one of your car. It's a beautiful picture. If I knew how to post it with this note I would. If I remember correctly we even spoke to each other a bit at the show.
