I guess I'm not the only one that thinks this way. I know someone that owns a 69 chevelle which he rescued from the bushes at a farm near here. It now sits in his backyard in pieces rotting away. I'd like to buy it from him and make an SD clone.
I found the post. It sounds like the guy used the body of a chevelle but the tag from a 68Sd. I could be wrong in my assumption.I can see why people were negative about it. Would it even be considered legit? I have no intention on doing anything like that. I want to make an SD clone but the tag would still be a Chevelle. There's nothing wrong with doing some modifications to a Chevelle as long as it's listed as one.
Without opening up that discussion again I think that the car is not considered legit, the action is illegal, and the consensus is that sooner or later the car will be sold as a genuine SD by some unscrupulous individual even if the current owner has no intent of doing that.
