Hello

Hey Y'all. Just bought my 1st Poncho, and she's a beauty. Canadian built, 1954 Pontiac Cheiftan 2dr. post. Someone swapped out the original motor and tranny a long time ago but they also really looked after it. She's in great shape. It now has a 305 cu.in. small block with a mild cam  a 4 bbl and a turbo 350 tranny. I think it has around .373 gears in the rearend. Since I bought it , I've upgraded the brakes to a power drum brake set-up ( works good- Kit from Californey!) and hooked up a pressure switch to activate the brake lights, new water pump and thermostat cover, air breather, rear shocks cleaned and scowered a lot of stuff but I'm havin' a blast.

Welcome aboard. The pressure switch for the brake lights is a good idea. I had a 54 Chev and with the brake light circuit running through the turn signal switch, it was a crap shoot whether I had brake lights or not!

i had put bucket seats in my 55 GMC years ago but when i went to sort of restore it, i recovered the bench. it like sitting on a old recovered overstuffed couch. i have put many of mile on the bench, everybody that rides shotgun can't believe how comfortable they are. oh i like the car, one of my favorite styles.
