1949-54 Cdn Pontiac front and rear suspension options

I'm not sure if 1949-52 Cdn Pontiacs are still built on the Chevy chassis, if they are then the Chassis Engineering front and rear kits would work for them in addition to the 53/54 Cdn Pontiacs.

Chassis Engineering has a neat bolt in Mustang II front suspension kit that is reasonably priced. They also have a kit to bolt in a mid 70s Camaro/Firebird rear axle. Here's scans of an older catalog of theirs that details the 49-54 Chevy kits (which are identical to 53/54 Cdn Pontiacs)

Here's the first page of an OLD Chassis Engineering catalog (I couldn't post the image because it's too large for the forum):

Here's the second page of an OLD Chassis Engineering catalog:

Heidts. They have a mustang II bolt in for the front and a four link for the rear.. With Gm discs or whatever you want. The nicer ones are not quite bolt on some mods to the frame needed.

The catalog I have says for Chev car 49-54 model # CX-104 or # CX-104-E this would work for the Canadian pontiac's. They also have full packages to work with. From what I see they range in price from $1300 to $1900. Not cheap by any means but really nicely engineered stuff no bumpsteer on their setup.

The first thing I'm doing right now is contplating what motor I wish to install. For sure I will be getting the Art Morrison full chassis for the 49-54 cars. That chassis Is the best I've seen in a long time hands down for me.

Did you look at a Canadian MII IFS, it welds very nicely on to the Canadian Pontiac frame rails.  Paul Horton at the welder Series has a very nice product.

Check this out.

The chassis enginering stuff looks great.
I am considering this for this summers mod. because it wont cause me to totally cut up the frame.
I'm not afraid of my drum brakes but I would like to steer and handle better.

Even though my car has been modified I like to think it could still be restored back to original.
