Have any of you guys tried face book, i just had an old buddy from my old navy days that i had lost contact with 18 years ago contact me. i'll be having coffee with him on my way home on sunday evening from a road trip.
I'm on there...It was fun at first bet they've added too many"applications". Now I check it to see what my Family members in Ontario are up to and my old friends. It was a novelty at first, now its wearing off.

For security purposes I don't go there. My kids spend a good part of their life there.
I'm with Ray, I stay away from any of those sites that exist only to spread around your personal info. Nobody needs any of that unless I decide to give it directly to them in confidence.

Wise advice above as I joined up only to view pics of a family gathering a cousin had posted but it resulted in 3 old girlfriends finding me and sending messages and pictures.. Although it may sound like a good thing, it isn't what I want in my life right now or needed to have to explain to my sweetheart..

I go on Facebook sometimes. Mostly got family, found some friends i grew up with and people i went to school with. Some groups on there that i've found but that's all i use it for. My wife uses a few of the applications but not me. That's the part i do hate. One day i had enough and finally deleted all of the notifications i had from friends, 96 of them!! It can get as bad as junk in your email.
Ive had my oldest kid block Facebook, Youtube and every other outside interactive communications to the outside world. I have a 14 year old daughter, who is starting to like boys, so now the kid cant communicate to the outside world, unless she likes cars or poker
i block all the option that they throw at ya, but i did join on of the groups called military cooks and have connected with some guys i used to work with on the east coast
It can get as bad as junk in your email.
