-Found- 1968 396 Beaumont Block - 325 Hp 396 c.i.

A few years back I bought a 68 Block & couldn't figure out the codes on it;

Anyways, its a 1968 Beaumont, 325 Hp 396 c.i with 3 speed manual trans. The cast number on my block are 3916323 ; the numbers stamped in the front of the block are T11204T & 781104832.

I was just wondering if the car it came out of is still around??

Frank Agueci from GM Canada told me what the block came out of. The block is still mint & has never been rebuilt, when I ripped it apart, it had a steel crank in it.

The guy I bought it from pulled it out of his 69 Camaro SS.

My plan is too put the block in my 68 SD; But, I would sell it if the original car was found.

1968  SD,
Please check your private messages. I might have some info on the original car for this engine. I am also from Lethbridge and the car I am aware of did have a 3 spd. manual. Please contact me as per the PM I sent you. Thanks Martie

W/ the 7 it looks like it was a 2 Dr. Post, Hdtp. or Convert, the 8 for '68, the 1 for Oshawa and the rest the sequential 6?.

Although the 4T isn't common it is a known suffix for the L35 in Canadian A-Bodys..

The rusty green 68 SD that sold about a year ago had a 4T engine code. It had several people confused because the GM paperwork had something else listed as the code.
