RE: 63 Acadian Canso 4 dr 37,000 miles Price drop IF picked up @ $2100

It's not actually for me Ken. I have a relative I am trying to help out. Since I typed the note above a second option has come up closer to home, albeit not as nice a car. We are going to have to weigh the options here.

If your Roadmaster was within a days drive of me it would be ours. I just can''t get my head around the $1000 shipping bill to get it here.

If our old Roadmaster would just pack it in I could justify buying a different one!!!

I appreciate you saying you would move aside on the Acadian for me. I debated PM'ing you to ask but I read back through the posts and assumed nothing had come out of your discussion of buying it. I certainly was not trying to butt in. I don't like to butt in or be butted on!!!

No, No Carl-first come first serve on any car-I've been dragging my feet-this neat little car would have to be a keeper as theres no money in it-but I was thinking my Dad would really like it. If you want it don't think you'd be stepping on me-I've got $400 shipping to get it to my place probably whats helping stall me-if I had more time and the trailer I went half with my brother on I could significantly lower the costs.

As for the roadmaster I'm probably way better off to even just keep it around as a spare for so little money I can be sure I'd be sorry in the long run-there are several non movers on the car lot right now that I could use if I sold it but not much beats driving around in these B bodies as you know.

I need to move some iron to make room for MORE iron. It's a disease I tell ya! I'm selling my project cars as it looks like I'm going to be short of time and I'm tired of paying storage on cars I haven't driven for a couple of years that still need work. So if I sell at least 4 or 5 then I'll be OK again. I plan on spending a lot of this summer boating on Lake Erie so I want just a old convertible cruiser. If the economic outlook changes by Sept. then I'll start building a shop with the money left over from the sale of cars and maybe get enough ambition to do a car over the winter.

Plan on getting back on Lake Erie this summer as well. I never put the Waverunners in the water last year with the price of gas. The 155 hp triple burns 17 1/2 US gallons an hour at WOT . Gets costly running a couple of these things around.

I'm running a pair of 305 V8 Merc's so gas prices are a concern, but it's still cheaper than paying taxes & upkeep on a cottage!

you could not pour it out of a 5 gallon pale as fast as those twins would drink it!

I hear you on the cottage thing. I`ve got one at Sherkston Beach on Lake Erie and another In the Parry Sound area ( McKeller) 3 sets of taxes and I spend my summers at car shows and swap meets.

I'm sure some of the ones in Turkey Point are more like $22.00 a day for taxes.
