Stolen 1969 Acadian

I am new here, having just came across this site. My father and I owned a 1969 Acadian several years ago. In 2004 our car was stolen in Dundas, Ontario. We had driven up for the Super Chevy Show at Cayuga Draway. The car was dark green with SS stripes on the hood, Light green bench seat interior and had a nice sounding 350 with a power glide. The car was very clean, roughly 50k original miles. Has such a car resurfaced anywhere in Canada? Please email me if you have any info. at pnoonan3@hotmail.com

The Hamilton police said it probably went overseas but I think it could be still kicking around, perhaps re-painted or badged as a Nova??? Anbody noticed a nova with light green Acadian interior???

Thanks, I will try to post pictures later.

Welcome here.

Wow, it would be nice to find this car. Good luck, and maybe it will happen. Have you posted this on the Nova forums as well?

About 1980 I sold a 65 Canso Sport Deluxe to a friend and it was stolen a few months later in Winnipeg, never recovered. That is such an amazing thing that a car cannot be found!

So sorry for your losses fellas!.

Both you guys should lay your Vins out here so anyone googling them could come up w/ the hit and see they're stolen cars?.

Make sure to post them complete and in an uncluttered format w/ a space at the beginning and end without VIN or a # sign stuck beside the actual Vin digits..

Maybe we could have a sticky thread or separate heading here w/ stolen cars listed so we can find it again easily if we see something we feel like checking back on?.

smile

Interesting story about some young guy that bought a corvette and it got stolen. He had no insurance so he did not get a pay out. Some 30 years latter the car was found in storage and he was tracked down as being the owner. The car was worth a lot more now so it worked out in his favour.

I have a hard time believing an Acadian would be shipped overseas. Usually old cars that end up over there were the result of an "order" from a buyer. Acadians aren't that well known over there. I would suspect it has been cloned into a Nova. If by chance it did end up overseas, it just pay show up on here. We have more and more members from outside North America every day.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I'll see if my father still has the VIN # and I'll get a picture up at some point. I agree with you, 69Laurentian that it's hard to believe an Acadian would get "ordered" from over seas. Anyway keep your eyes peeled.
