are you sure you don't want to send a 3rd party check for too much and have him send the balance of the fund to another party. just joking with all this internet crap happening reference car purchase from out of country.

I wish to thank Chuck for his generous offer.  However due to the poor exchange rate and the extreme difference in the cost of living, I am unable to make use of the offer.  R1.00 to me is like $1.00 to you.

I wish all of you a merry Christmas!

Johann

Me too, I'll send a couple of bucks for shipping.  I sent a copy of Old Autos to South Africa and it cost around $12.00 Can. to ship so I can imagine the hubcaps will be over $50.00 Can to ship.

I would help out too. Is there anything else that Johann65 needs for his car?
Maybe we could send a CP care package. I don't think the shipping rate will change much. We would just have to get everything to one central location to be shipped.

To all the great guys!!!!

May God bless you ALL!!!!!
R515.00 buys 64 Loaves of bread!!!
Affordability is one the reasons, the other reason is that my friend Christo, who is unemployed and relies on his pick-up to generate income has the misfortune of blowing the front big-end bearing of his Z24 (Nissan) motor.  For the engineering work and the parts will be about R2500.00!!

What we as a care group have done is to pool our resources about R500 each to get Christo back on the road.

Will post you photos tomorrow aftenoon as we will be pulling the engine to-morrow morning!  I towed the NIssan to our resident Jack of all trades' home this afternoon.

Christo is also the person I bought the Malibu from. He told me today that he is overcome with the group's actions.

Please contact Gengiskhan for his banking details.

I know that God will make this a special Christmas for all of You!!!!biggrin

Let me know where to send my $20 and I'll mail a check upon notification. I've got to send Todd a check for some more t-shirts so it would be easy for me to just add that to the total.

I'm good with the idea. However, wouldn't it be easier for Johann to sign up for Paypal and all the donations could go straight to him? He can then pay Gengiskhan for shipping and keep the rest of the $$ for whatever he needs it for (help his buddy etc) .

Todd
