I just got back from a sled swap/show meet here in Quebec and I was wondering if anyone on here are into vintage ski-doo`s.Here are some that we have..63 R6..70 640 THT..71 775 TNT..72 775 TNT..81 Blizzard 7500..82 Blizzard 9500..73 Olympic 300 - 000001 first one built.
Picked it up in Cookshire.Bought it to part out until I got it back home and just happened to check out the vin.Got a chance to sell that one to a guy in States.Just thinking if I should let it go.
I got a complete running 71-2 olympic 300 with a solid tunnel.Has no cab,no #s and a junk seat. Also have a lot of NOS ignition switches with keys for that model.
i was too young at the time, but we had an olympic, then about a 74 snow-jet 292, then a kawasaki 440, then the 'big dog'... i know the centurion was earlier, but i had 84 indy 600...it was just plain fast compared to most of the sleds out there, like my friends txl340 and my brothers 5500 blizzard... the indy was in a different league... ahhh fun times!!
the last new one I bought was an 81 SRX Yamaha. Worst wipe out I had was with my 73 500 triple Polaris. The lake was mostly iced over and I got going side ways at 75 mph and hit some crust. Went over with the machine a couple of times till we went are seperate ways. Part , peices for a 1/4 mile down the lake. Good times!

Ha, your idea of good times must be different than mine!!!

I had a '70 Blizzard 776 years back also have just traded one of my '73 Blizzard Twins for a '70 Blizzard 340 Single...one of only 100 built w/ the alum. tunnel & bubble cab style..
Although cool and somewhat rare, I've never been much for the Nordic based 669 and 775 Tnt's myself as I've always had my hands full w/ the alum. tunnel race sleds.. If you want one, something makes me think I may still have an Nos Hooker tuned pipe for a 669/775 left though...they're cool and a Y pipe w/ single Hooker tuned section and really fat stinger end!.
Thanks for the edit job!.

always wanted a vintage skidoo, we had a 76 Olympic 300 and a 72 alouette while growing up in eastern ontario, but i now live in a area that is outside the snow belt and only the crazies own snow machines here.
That 71 Blizzard 797 is the same as the one I sold off a few years back...may even be it?. 71 Triples were the first year for triples also last year for tunnel mounted engines and are very rare sleds.. The 71 645 & 797 triple sleds share 16-1/2" alum. tunnels, tracks and suspensions also gas tanks are unique to them too and all parts for these very hard to find.. I searched for a few years for the tank for mine and had to pay $500 for it alone!. The new for 72 Blizzards were way more refined sleds, much lower slung and w/ front mount engines...also way lighter and faster than the big 71's!.
Vintage sleds rock...especially yellow ones!!!

Here is another rare one from the show.A 71 blizzard triple.
Yikes! would that not hurt, if , it spit out parts?
Yep...I always called these '71 Triples the original lap dancers!!!
Again the '72 and up Blizzards were way more refined and a much safer feeling w/ the big triples and clutches a bit further away.. It also solved the problems these tunnel mounted engine sleds had of the carbs sucking in your SkiDoo suit and going into choke mode!.
I had a new 72 lol 400 "free air' Ski Doo! I bought it, because it was sporty looking! I had to pay $1200.00 for that!!!!!! It was always loading up, and lifing the ski's! I trade it for a 74 Artic Cat Panther.. Like going from a Corvette to a Suburban!!! THAT WAS IT!
Probably a '72 TNT 400 F/A Carl?. 72 was the first year for free airs and last year for TNT's on the steel tunnel chassis.. Actually they were stock class race sleds and 40 Hp w/ dual carbs on the small 15" track chassis was a speedy sled for the day!. Production quite rare at 1900 units or something like that?.
