Someone sent me this photo, but I've never talked to the owner. If anyone recognized the car, and knows who owns it, I'd love to chat/email with the owner!
When this car was posted on the memturbo site, it was owned by a fellow in the US midwest, can't remember exactly where. It was featured in a magazine, and subsequently was offered for sale in the Pontiac Oakland club magazine, Smoke Signals. It's a 454 car. I contacted the owner. He had acquired it from Aberta, as I recall, and he did a restoration. It was for sale in late 2003 or early 2004 in the $20K range (going on memory now - could be slightly off). I was considering buying it but was too slow - it was sold to a another buyer.
What is it with Alberta? Every 1969 427 car I've seen and now this 454 came out of Alberta. I wonder if there was a dealer there that was aggressive and ordered them that way?
Was there an oil boom in 1969 or something? In Sask all we got were sad 2bbl 350 cars with no options!
There was a maroon 70 Pontiac 2+2 with 454 auto in Alberta last year too for $12,000
