Not sure if these were made in Canada in 69. I don't think the car was "meticulously detailed" like the seller states though...Non orig motor either

I saw this car last June. It's a partial restoration that still needs plenty of work but it's also hard to get a 69 Firebird for this kind of money.

price seems o.k. for what it is I guess.heres a 69  near me in b.c. price has dropped now.Price way out their I think.

And no Chevy powered F'Birds even though they bent the SCCA TransAm rules w/ the story...no Olds powered ones either!.

Although butchered and the guy dreaming w/ his description, that F'Bird may not even be a bad deal for the dough?.

My 69 Bird was built in Oshowa,but it had a pontiac motor.

There have always been rumours of small block Power 1st Gen Firebirds somehow being made here. If your 69 really is an Oshawa car.......

Its an Oshawa car, but built with a 350 pontiac motor,not a chevy. Even though now its powered by a 505cid chev. 223379 are the first numbers.

U is Lordstown Ohio. It would have to be a 1 to be made in Oshawa. smile

It's not a bad looking car for the money. I'm judging by pic's only. Repaint in code 11 Classic White, Formula hood, blue stripes, Oh oh... See what I mean about too many cars?

Wow your right. In the 17 years that Ive owned this car I always thought it was built in Oshawa.But  I guess it would have to have a chev motor.I figured this cause theres a small gm canada sticker in the glove box, and now looking at it ,on the bottom it says 'seller'.Man you guys are smart. Plus I had gm canada decode my car in 1992 ,but theres no mention of assembly plant.

I'm no F body expert, only ever had two, one of each, but Camaro's were bult in Norwood Ohio, and Van Nuys California up to 1992. Starting in 1993 they were built at Ste. Therese Quecbec and Van Nuys. Firebirds are the same except for the 1st Gen which were also built at Lordstown.

I was kind of hoping you had a 1st Gen. built in Oshawa as it would have promulgated the small block rumour.
