Heres the scoop.. pictures added

I have a extra hood for my 66 2 door, and was going to have, a bubble tear drop scoop installed.. It requires bonding on, and filling the edges. It would replicate the look, of my friends car, in 1967.. I also have a 63 SD steel scoop and it just bolts on.. Easier to finish and maintain...After seeing the post, on the 63 swiss cheese Pontiac, I wondered what you thought...  I was thinking it would look cool, at Ont Nostalgia Drag events.. (I am Member)   be nice..wink

RE: Heres the scoop..

Carl, I always equate the tear drop style to Fords and I always equate the Ford scoop to Pontiacs.  wink

About 5 years ago I walked by one of those Ford scoops at the Barrie flea market. It was only $20.00 but my arms were full and I couldn't pick up another thing. i went back to get it a while later but it was gone.

With SD getting into 6 figures,  a original scoop idea is getting expensive..

Go with the tear drop for sentimental reasons. The ford/tbird scoop looks good on 63-4 and older Pontiacs but I think it'd look odd on later ones.
