after seeing photo's of my cars on the site, and being prodded by a number of people, I've joined the gang. I have the yellow 70 convertible 454 car, a low mileage 70 gold 350 hardtop, and a version of the 70 green monster 400 hardtop. The gold hardtop and yellow convertible have both won trophies in the 2+2 class at POCI, including the convertible winning 1st place in 2006 California and 2008 South Dakota. Top speed in the convertible is yet to be found, I've pegged the speedo and it's still pulling - Love that balanced and Comp Cam equipped LS4 and highway gears. The gold hardtop isn't far behind with its high compression 350.
Welcome to the site!!! Clint.. its about time! you were hiding those "big torque monsters" from us.. We will need more pictures, of course.. Check out the Candian Poncho swag! the keychains will improve, your gas mileage 10% Thanks 427Carl @ Ontario
Welcome Clint! Well I wasn't going to pressure you to join, but I'm glad the peer pressure from the others finally put you over the edge! Welcome to the "70 Mafia". When I saw that user name: seventy2plus2, I just needed one guess to figure out who it was. As Rick has pointed out, this site can become addictive and a constant temptation to avoid chores, it certainly has put me way behind on mine! Seriously though, I think you will find some of nicest and most knowledgeable car enthusiasts around on this site, and it will be easy to spend a lot of time here. Now, like C2 said, get yourself some Canadian Poncho swag so you can fly the flag for our unique fraternity.

As 427Carl pointed out the keychains are worth 10% on your gas mileage. The Beaumont has one and gets at least 10% more than the 2+2 which doesn't yet. Also the coffee mug if used correctly will get you 15% additional noise and if you use 32 decals you will improve aerodynamic drag by 8.6%. The T-Shirts will improve horsepower by 1.79% per small size T-Shirt, but only if they worn in the car. The XL's are only good for .33% each.

I'm sorry guys, but honestly, if that was the actual improvement given by each one of those items, I'd be disappointed. My own personal results far exceed those percentages shown above......
(That'll be 5 bucks for the endorsement please Todd...)

I was only talking about results obtainable by Clint. Your own results may vary depending on wind velocity, temperature, temperment, GI issues and mood.

I think I have enough "Pacific 66" keyrings to last me for a while, as well as "Alberta Iron Indians" T and golf shirts. The Oct 2008 issue of POCI's "Smoke Signals" arrived in the mail yesterday, for those who also received it, did you spot the photo of my convertible on page 19?
Welcome Clint!!! Now you can post your pics of your cars, and I can stop hinting that you should sign up...LOL
