What was the name(s) of any Pontiac dealership that operated in Stratford, ON during the timeframe of 1967-1968?
I have a 1968 Beaumont SD ragtop that GM Canada will not give any dealership information (dealer #) on because they don't have the name of this long defunct business.
Dealer names or numbers would be helpful and appreciated.
Sorry, no help on the dealership but that sounds like a really nice car! Was this car for sale in the Mt. Forest area in the early 90's? I remember seeing an Auto Trader ad for a white SD convertible but I never saw the car.
My dad got a used car that had an Anderson sticker. Any idea when it went under? Was it the Pontiac dealer then before SMP? The car my dad had with the sticker was a 76 Nova so i wonder if it had been traded in used there at some point.
I knew SMP was there as of 1984 but never really knew before that. Growing up i always knew SMP, Anderson was before my time...well i'm at least too young to remember them.
There's a great bunch of guys at SMP. I worked there for 3 years and other than the pay plan it was the best dealership I ever worked at. LOTS of car guys in that town!
Not all info is there but best results are often found by entering in the least amount of known info first and sifting though the results.. Also keep in mind Dealer Codes and sometimes Zones #'s changed through the years..
Here's the Zone Codes and their central locations which always help searching.. As in the case above, enter only Zone # 85 and cruise the results.. Keep in mind here that many dealers are often far away from their central locations too..

I have 2 other dealer codes for 1 dealer in Caladonia, Ontario. It was a Chevy dealer and I appoligize.
Zone # 95 Dealer # 075 Dealer Name: Wills Motors Caledonia Ltd. Address: 150 Argyle St. S City: Caledonia ON
It was later incorporated in 1969 and was assigned a new dealer number:
Zone # 95 Dealer # 076 Dealer Name: Wills Motors Caledonia (1969) Ltd. Address: 150 Argyle St. S City: Caledonia ON
There was another Wills Motors dealer in Glanbrook, ON that belonged to his brother. That dealer may have closed recently (I don't know for sure) after many, many years of operation.
Around 1979 the dealer was sold to the son of a Hagersville Chevy dealer (Bud Searles was his dad's dealer) and was renamed Dennis Searles Chevrolet-Oldsmobile. They may still be in business (except for the Oldsmobile part).
I do remember a Pontiac-Acadian-Beaumont-Buick-Epic-GMC (maybe Cadillac as well) dealer in Hagersville on Highway 6; there was another further south on the north approach to Port Dover.
O.K., so it's not a big help. Maybe I just like to hear myself talk . Really, what do you want for nothing?

I am now able to search dealer codes (sorry, current only) at work so if anyone has any just fire away and I will try. Some of them are still around, same name, some with a new name, whatever.
