So what is your winter project?

Now that November is here it's time to get something ready for next year. What's everybody working on? I have at least 2 I want done for next season. Both are Trans Ams. A 79 with 403 power and a GTA, 350 TPI. I'm still looking for a nice full size Poncho, but not a project. If I had the money that 70 Bonneville 455 in the Sarnia would do nicely. Show us yer stuff!

One of my top priorities will be to get my 327 4 speed setup done and ready for my Acadian.

I also have a couple of possibilities for work on a couple of other cars (not mine) to make a few extra bucks to pay for my own bad car habit!

If I can unload my S10 and free up some space in the garage, I'm going to start cleaning up that 454. The front end really should be rebuilt on the Laurentian and the rear spiral shocks should likely be replaced. Now, if those "date coded" spirals just happen to be the same as on a Camaro, SS Chevelle, GS, 442 or GTO I'll sell them and be RICH RICH RICH! :)

1st thing is to go to West Palm beach this week  sun.gif  relax.gif and have a few nice meals  hungry.gif , take advantage of the blowout sales for Christmas. Might think about my LeMans on New Years day as I try and take it out for a run each January 1st weather permitting. At first I was thinking 454 but the appraiser that did my car has talked me into heads and cam for the small block. We'll see.

im going to make my door panels and search for real big mexican blankets for the seats. I also have to take the dash apart again to replace all the bulbs and find out why my speedo's not workin.Oh yeah, i have to repaint the dash cause i changed the green top to a different shade of green (pics soon to follow) The rims will be out to powdercoating in a couple weeks or so and then besides that its new brake pads before i throw it on the road next spring.

And in non-car related stuff i have three guitars that have to be built and finish the reno on my music room!! And yes guys i have it good, the wife lets me have the basement as a wood shop, my music room complete with two huge amps, drums, guitars, and a couple keyboads and an old organ, and the garage!!

It was going to be replacing my brake lines on the Camino. But, now I have to think about redoing the transmission in my Mustang.

68 SD-396. After doing the last car funds are pretty low so I may just get the body together and the wiring sorted out.

I am thinking of putting my Canso in the Performance World show in March, so lots of polishing and detailing to do. Also have to find a way to trailer it there, it will be the only show I have ever attended where I didn't drive it!

67 rag parts car, finish stripping and decide whether the frame is worth saving.
67 4 dr hdtp parts car, finish stripping and dispose of.
67 2+2:- find and repair oil leak (rear main seal, or muncie!!!!!!)
- remove front clip
- replace heater core
- replace front clip
- prepare for paint
- get body painted
- re-assemble
- replace carpet
- install rear power antenna
- replace wiring for aftermarket stuff
- complete exhaust installation
- tune engine

65 SD - get upholstery repaired

79 Buick - replace headlights
- replace water pump
- replace valve cover gaskets

Not sure yet-64 Acadian sedan maybe? But mostly continue parting the 77/78 Trans Am stuff to raise funds/clear space.

I won't be doing too much as the car is going back to the body shop to redo rear quarter that the painter didn't do correctly. Reassembly will begin Feb or Mar

Why, did something happen?  Did you have it out for a spin today?

I would like to clean enough stuff out of my garage so that a car will fit in it again - still doesn't leave enough room to work on anything though....

wow, I feel so motivated.
If I can get the garage organized.
Work on the 66GrandeP
Replace the fuel line at the tank.
Replace all the brake lines, the master cylinder as well as all 4 wheel cylinders.
With the fuel line and brakes fixed, i can start and move the car.
Get it ready to pull the seats out to redo.
Would love to cut the floor out under the drivers feet and replace it.
Have new carpet, package tray and weather stripping to install.
Would be nice if I could have the interior done for the spring.
Wow, better get started.

Sounds as though we have some work to do. LOL.  Mine is sitting on stands waiting to finish the new front suspension. Got dragged away to help my buddy fire up his 64 1/2 Cuda.  Got a good deal on some Global west upper and lower front control arms. Have new rear upper control arms to install (adjustable ones) hopefully will cure some vibrations. Trans still has to come and replace 2nd gear syncro, somebody was abusing it. OOPPPPS.  If things go well maybe see a bodyshop about replacing the rear 1/4 panels, BIG IF.
