Now we need the Bud Moore Mustang and a Sam Posey Challenger for a nice retro Trans Am collection with the new versions of the cars.

They have a Sam Posey Challenger. Tried to find that and came across this Camaro. Interesting to get Bud Moore car.

Why aren't the light covers red?  That's the way the original ran.

That is a very cool concept.  I wish they would bring back Can-Am racing to Mosport, that would uber-cool and now they have three cars to do it - that is if the Detriot three can survive that long....pray.gif

Hillar, Did you ever go to Mosport in the '70's to watch the Can-Am cars? Big block aluminum Chevy's with Hilborn or Weber injector stacks in a Monocoque roadster. They were NASTY FAST. I remember Danny Ongias's car lifting the front wheels off the ground when he nailed it on the straightaway into 2 nd gear. I think the end of them was 75, or 76?

Not all of the Penske Sunoco cars had the red headlight covers. I am not sure why some had them and some didn't. Maybe when they were racing two Penske cars in the same race.

Yes you are right, Usually #6 69 Camaro had red covers and I have seen other numbers with yellow and silver covers. It was probably to distinguish the cars on the track and coming in the pits.
