Hello, I am looking for one wheel but will take any you have. Early 1970 ( fall '69) built rally 2 wheels. Must be coded "JL" by the valve stem. Buy or swap. I have several 15" and some 14x7" to trade. I also have some 14x8" rally 2's , thats right 14x8" !
14x7 are 8 inches lip to lip.. are your rare 14x8's 9 inches lip to lip? Most wheels are measured from bead to bead, not edge to edge. I have 1- 14x6 NON disc brake wheel...
Yes they are 9" lip to lip. Inside the wheel the stampings say JJ 14x8 I can send a picture if you are interested. I asked the question over on the PY website and everyone told me aftermarket. They aren't aftermarket they were on the car I bought since the 80's. I did have one member privatley email me and tell me Pontiac did have some rally 2's widened back in the day but didn't want to reply to the post in fear of ridicule !! those boys are ruthless over there . If I figure out how to post photos I will get some on this thread in the hopes someone can help me identify them. thanks.
First of all I should never say never, they could be aftermarket but being 20 years old I don't know. I would like to know either way. Sorry for the quality of the picture it was the best I could do. Let me know what you think !
