I would not know if there is any difference. It was printed in 1964 in Canada. The reference no is PSD 53-110. It is a dealership Manual. It originally belonged to Nicol's Garage and Service Station, Nottingham Road, Natal South Africa. No reference to RHD is made.
Fortunately I have a photo of the original linkages. Will post the second photo later, Found It! The shift links were removed and a floorshift as per the manual installed. I could'nt handle the rubber links! The throttle linkage is still the same.
Those are the dog dishes the Malibu came out with. Surplus stock! The covers on my Malibu comes from an Chev (Opel ) 4100 circa 1974. The closest to the original "doggies"
About myself and the Malibu:
Built in 1965 at the General Motors South Africa plant in Port Elizabeth, this particular Malibu was unique in having a factory painted white top on a red body. I recall going into the plant to take a look at it! This was a "special" and I found it 43 years later standing under a Pine tree in Meyerton (about 2 miles from my home!) near Vereeniging.Recognizing the car, it was bought for R3000 and spent about R27000 to bring it back to life. The white roof is coming back on within the next few months.
At that time I worked as a Specifications Clerk in the Product Engineering Department of GMSA and had the privilege of seeing the great changes that took place between 65 and 66.
Now I have retired after 30 years in the Graphite Industry and this is the perfect project to keep me occupied.
Oh, please keep the information and pictures coming. That is SO neat to see!
It's hard to see because of a shadow but I am wondering if there are holes in the firewall on the left side where we would have our master cylinder and steering column?

Hope I am third time lucky! Here are some photos to your questions. First photo shows the Body stamp number not reflected anywhere The firewall photo shows the RHD filewall assembly The certificate shows the three licence systems used; Town, pre-94 Province and Post-94 province. I am the second owner. Note date of first registration! Found 24 Sep 1964 stamped on instrument cluster. The VIN/trim tag on inside of left-hand door pillar. will post photos of RHD dash next week. Thanks Pete for introducing me to this site. Great guys!
That is one cool more door classic! Where is the air box on the fire wall? I wonder if there is a RHD Beaumont out there? Those two tone seperators are rare and I HAVE ONLY SEEN ONE. If your interested I will send a photo of my 65 more door Beaumont. These 4dr cars drive nicer than any other model.
