Heres what I found under the seat of my car. Good thing the seats need to be redone.
What wierd things have you guys found under the seat/carpet of your cars???

I've likely bought about 50 insurance wrecks in my life. Everything from golf balls, condoms (still packaged, phew!), lots of money, cigarettes, a knife (gangster looking type car), and on a 67 Grande Parisienne a rare, never seen another one, factory underseat heater!
Nothing to compare with what you found though 2qwik2c.
Which car are you working on?

found under the front or back?, lol. Need a tissue dispenser, lol
Under the front seat, a tissue dispenser may have been a good idea for the previous owner but the car never came with one??

I found bullets under the rear seat of a 69 Texas Coronet I bought. The car was wired with a kill switch for all lights except headlights. A school teacher was the last owner in Tyler Texas so it must have had a shady past early in it's life. I found this under the rear cushion of my Laurentian:
Close call! I emailed the original owner and he had no idea how the burn got there! Likely a ciggy thrown out the window.
Just was looking for a build sheet, found what is left of one under the passenger side carpet on the biscayne. Not much left of it being it was right where your feet are, wet shoes killed it.

Well that sucks but you have your GM documents anyway don't you? If so, at least you're not left wondering. Those little tags sure are neat to find though. I think I still have the one for my 66 Grande Parisiene 396 4 speed car that has the factory electronic ignition listed on the tag.

No, the floor pan is original. I forgot to mention on the Coronet I found a build sheet under the back seat-however it was for a Yellow Super Bee! I bet some poor bugger with that Super Bee has the lowly Coronet 440 build sheet that should have been in my car! I still have that build sheet.
I was thinking maybe just a bolt hole from an aftermarket exhaust hanger or something. No, I know what a lucky sucker you are to have original metal on a car like that. Most of them seem to have rust about level with the door mirror!

Yup I got the docs, 2 sets actually. The docs I got from the previous owner never had a break down of how many L36's in the 15411 model #, so I resent the info to George and he broke it down for me. They now say less than 29 with L36, thats as close as he could get it.

the yellow Alberta plates expired in '84, we got he white ones in late '83 or when out plates expired in '84. We didn't get vanity plates until '85 if I recall, so if you see a yellow vanity plate it's a fake.
Other than that, you've got some interesting finds. A buddy also found an underseat heater in a '67 Grande Parisienne. He removed it and sent it to me. After stumbling over it a number of times in my garage, it ended up in the round file.
Hey Todd, possibly that Coronet was part of the "Dodge Boyz in the Hood" When i got my parts car stripped apart it didn't have any documentation hiding anywhere that i could see. That car got stripped down right to the floor pans and there wasn't anything. My good T/A i haven't done any tearing apart in yet. But when i first got it i did find a piggy bank worth of change under the rear seats, so i got about $5 of my investment back in found money.
I found a switchblade under the front seat of a 69 Grand Prix I bought years ago. I traded the Grand Prix to buddy of mine and he got pulled over by 3 cruisers in London with guns drawn. Appears the car was used in some criminal activity. That was back in the day when the plates stayed with the car in Ontario. Found tools over the years, but the Apple iPhone under the seat of my Avalanche was the most valuable so far.
i found a dead porcupine in the wagon under the passengers seat and the whole back was full of tiny pellets that looked like, you know what i mean. and if you really want to laugh, didn't i end up rolling in the quills when we went to tow it out from the farm. here is a sort of pict to show the state when we picked it up.
The last car I picked up the guy kept a couple of his porn mags under the front seat. I bet he was real sorry to see it go. My wife saw them and the mags are now resting in a landfill
i found alot of pellets and a paitr of glasses in a metal case that was stamp dated 1948. A little change, and labatts 50 beer bottles. When i bought the car the guy was going to get some paint made to match the green on the beer label.?
