Bad news Luongo out for a while longer trying to get back too early is not a good idea for a groin injury but hes just a stand up guy who wants to help the team.Life of a Canuck fan is never easyno

Has to be the best goalie in hockey today, just wait Burke will have him wearing blue and white soon! I can taste it now, Cup back in Toronto after 43 years!!

Seriously though, I can't recall ever seeing Luongo play in person, unless he was in a Cherry vs. Orr game a Maple Leaf Gardens but I would certainly like to.

You might be right. He already has Dave Nonis( brought the twins to Vancouver) and is Burke's #1 man from Vancouver.

I'll have to admit I look forward to watching the western game after the Leafs or Habs finish each Saturday. To me all three: Vancouver, Edmonton and Calagary are exciting to watch. We like seing Kyle Wellwood do well too!

Just got this Email sent to me...LOL

Toronto GM John Ferguson Jr. sends scouts around the world looking for a new centre to hopefully help win the Stanley Cup for the Maple Leafs. One of his scouts informs him of a young Iraqi centre who he thinks will turn out to be a true superstar. So John flies to Iraq to watch him play and is suitably impressed and arranges for him to come over to play in the NHL.

Two weeks later, Toronto is down 4-0 at home against Montreal with only 8 minutes to play. The coach gives the young Iraqi centre the nod to go on, and he puts him on in place of Sundin. The lad is a sensation, scores 5 goals in 8 minutes and wins the game for Toronto. The fans are delighted, the players are delighted and the media love the new star.

When he gets off the ice, he phones his Mom to tell her about his first day in the NHL. "HI Mom,guess what?" he says. "I played for 8 minutes today, we were down 4-0 but I scored 5 goals and we won. Everybody loves me; the fans, the players and the media, they all love me".

"Great," says his Mom,"let me tell you about our day. Your Father got shot in the street, your sister and I were assaulted and mugged, and your brother has joined a gang of looters, while you were having a great time."

The young lad is very upset."What can I say, Mom? I'm sorry".

"Sorry!" says his Mom, "It's your damned fault that we moved to Toronto in the first place!"

We don't count the St.Patricks, Arenas and Ontarios, if so Toronto is at 14.

And Dave I know it is 41 years, I was just giving Burke a couple of years to get it done! WHICH HE WILL!!!

Don't forget that our summer home, Kenora also won a Stanley Cup as well. Even though Winnipeg has no more Jets, we still claim that one since we pay taxes there!

....and now back to the Canucks.

It's not looking too good tonight. Edmonton started quick and hard and has proven to be too much for the Luongoless Canucks. A few good bouts in this one though. It's all coming down to the calm and cool veteran Roloson vs. the inexperienced Sanford. 3-0 Oilers with just under 10 minutes to go BUT Sortini just took a dumb call leaving the door open for the Canucks. Just 7:00 minutes left now and and the Vancouver PP is stalling as the penalty winds down not one shot on goal by the hapless Canucks. Oilers just dominating now working it down low and controlling the flow. Canucks get a bit of pressure but no shots. One man forecheck by Edmonton just playing the clock now down to 3:58 to go, looks like this one is not in doubt. Yes it is done, a Shutout for the 39 year old veteran Roloson.

Sorry, it was that Vancouver Millionaires post by 1964Canso that got me rattled! Geez... 1915 and a defunct team, give us a break!

You'd have to admit that the Oilers payed a strong game tonight and Roloson was the difference albeit just 23 shots to turn back.

Vingeault is blaming the goalie and everybody else, man is he ticked!
