3500 for that truck is very reasonable. doesn't take much to switch over to a small block. even has the deluxe cab trim. but alas its a chev

I like the GMC's better also. But they are even scarcer then the Chev's

I saw one at a show in San Diego in the 80's. Was it called a Palomino? Seems to me that was the name it had.

So you mean I saw a one off truck and didn't realize it??? Well, DUH.............!!!

I thought that it meant the Chev's were Cameo and the GMC's were Palomino.

SHOOT!!! I think I have a pic of it somewhere that I took.

chevs w/ the fiberglass side were called Cameo's and the GMC's were called Suburban Carrier pickups.

I can't find that picture anywhere, but I know he had a display board with it calling it a Palomino. Does that make sense though that it was in California? The article talks about it being in the east.

There was a real beauty GMC featured in Collectible Automobile years ago. American V8Pontiac, can't remember the cubes, 347? HydraMatic. With the full "Bulldog" Chrome pkg. It was mint.

the american gmc all came w/ pontiac engines (don't quote me just what i've read)
for the 100 series same as my 9300, 1/2 ton short box

55 6 cyl - 248 or 270, 8 cyl 288 or 316
56 6 cyl 270, 8 cyl 316
57 6 cyl 270, 8 cyl 347
58,9 6 cyl 270, 8 cyl 336
