The more you look at these old images the more you see.

My family was non religious so we never had one.

I guess Ford people must attone somehow for the big sin of not buying a Pontiac?

My Dad and Mom had one on the dash of the 77 Buick Skylark when I was a teenager-all the italiens in the neighbourhood had them.

Never a good time to laugh at Jesus especially in this season. I'm not a bible thumper but if more people had a plastic Jesus on there dash-the world would be a better place.

Man or woman, looks like the driver in the picture could very well be of that nationality, lol!

No, no LTD's...they usually only went for the Custom 500, which that blue car is! Or a big black 4 door 65' Breezway Park lane!

"I don't care if it rains or freezes as long as I have my plastic Jesus sitting on top of my dasboard radio"

I remember that song but I forget who sang it. When  I worked part time after school at a used car lot I used to reconditioned cars and I saw a lot of Christian ornaments in trade ins. The french catholics always had at least one on the dash.

When vacationing in Mexico all the taxies had the rear package tray set up like shrines. They are a very religious culture especially at Easter.

I've seen just about everything on the dashes of Toyotas that come into work. Plastic Jesus, Virgin Mary's, an Italian saint, the Koran, readings from the Koran, something in Korean, as well as pretty much every other language and religion..

Although I've always liked the dashboard Hula girls, Jesus rides in my heart, not on the dash..

Being a 2 Dr. Post, wouldn't the car be a '65 Mercury Rideau or whatever the cheapo Merc that year was?.
Looks like a '66 Monaco behind it...also of course the '63 Poncho..

He rides neither on my dash or in my heart,
But that doesn't mean I don't think he looks cool going for a ride! It is simply a cool and funny icon imop.

 I think it's a 65 Custom 500.
