This one was for sale in Kelowna last summer on www.castanet.net ,listed for 3500.00.I called, and apparently the price was listed wrong, actual price was 5300.00.Had sask. plates at the time listed,as it does now.Looks like its on a uhaul trailer,or wonder if this is a new owner now selling.

Usually if I deal with someone who is not wiling to give me a price, I say I am not willing to drive whatever distance it is only to find out that the price is nothing like what I have in mind. People selling ALWAYS have an idea what they want or they wouldn't be selling. My thoughts anyway.

Someone has modified the rear wheel openings on that car to fit larger tires. Too bad but that's a re-quarter job. It could hurt the value of that one and I wonder what else is modified? If you look at the cars I posted under members rides you can see the difference.

I agree. Only went to look at one car that the owner wouldn't give me a price on. Didn't buy it.
Why? The owner as with most that won't list a price thinks its worth more than market value, wants someone to talk to, or validate how smart (or stupid) they are. No Price? No Sale.

Just got back from looking at this car. The lady that owns it now lives in Sask. but it's at her daughters place here in Calgary. It was the lady in Sask. son who owned it previous. he's the one that probably hacked the dash up for misc. "love lights" and stereo components.. there is a "rats nest" of wires hanging under the dash. the console is missing the parts arount the shifter. The engine is out of "who knows what". the tranny is bleeding all over the floor, but does look like an era correct 2 spd. the seats are original and could be saved. I didnt bother looking at the floor because the rest of the car was so rusted out and bondo'd, that I figured it wouldnt be worth the time to look. the Rear trunk panel is gone, the SD rocker chrome is GONE. It is a V8 SD car.. but hardly worth it for parts. (my opinion of course). I think they're trying to get the appraised value (8750.00) out of it.. again.. in my opinion.. it might be worth 1200 to 2000.00.

This just came in from the Canadian Chevelle / Beaumont club -

The vehicle is a 1965 Beaumont SD 2 dr ht it was recently appraised at $8750.  I have details of the appraisal for interested parties.  I am attaching some photos as well.  I can be reached at 306-584-8384 the car is currently in Calgary.  Please ask people to respond to hdwest@sasktel.net for e-mail.  Non Member
I'm sure it's the same car. Not very well kept under the hood.

Yes I agree that even that sounds high.. but I try to see that there IS an engine and Trans.. and Interior, and the sport deluxe emblems are there (decent shape).. but yeah. it's still a wreck.

Hey Kelly I see you have looked at the Blue Mess. All I do in these situations is to add up the parts because the car is a full resto car. Shiny blue paint doesn't do it and the appraised value is a joke. Somebody should find out who that guy is because he's only set the owner up for disappointment. If it was a manual 4spd car that might improve the value.
Keep in mind that parts require time to sell and store so this is retail, not wholesale. Take at least 30% off for profit.
$2400-$720=$1680.00 Max for this car unless you really need the car.

1)motor//trans 500.00
2) hood 200.00
3) trunk 150.00
4) If the doors are nice 400.00 pair
5) interior 500.00 if the seats aren't wrecked
6) SD emblems 400.00 unless there mint
7) rims 250.00
8) I never include the grill unless there mint   $2400-$720= $1680.00 Max

Yep.. I agree Paul.. I forgot to mention the vinyl roof that was on it too. it has, of course, rusted underneith the top and bubbles show up everywhere!!..
Doors are rusty on the bottoms, trunk may have been ok.. seats are wrecked.. BUT.. the center sections (with the spearhead) seem to be intact.. so one could do what I did and just re-do the bottoms and sides of the seats.. SD emblems.. 75.00 tops.. rims.. nothing collectible at all.

But.. I always love to look.
