I am sure this will bring up some debates but, I'm curious as to what you guys think. What are some classics that just really didn't interest you? Or you think had sort of an ugly look to it?
Now I love classic cars, I like A LOT of them, but one that I kind of don't like or not a big fan of, is the Edsel.
I am really not a big fan of first generation Camaro's I know that sound strange but I just dont like them. But then again my dream car is a Gremelin so what do I know.LOL
Photoshop?? Lol, are you referring to the first pic? I had a 71 Ford LTD, so I was in a LTD forum before, and I guess this guy was a fan of Edsel or something and they had that car picture posted up.
I am not really a big fan of the first generation camaro's either. I feel they are very popular now, Everyone wants either the camaro, mustang or charger. Yet I bet the majority of the crowd(younger crowd) don't know any other classic cars. Like when I bought my Riviera, somebody asked, quite rudely too, "oh why didn't you by a charger instead" meanwhile they drive their mothers civic!
Exactly my point Id rather have a nice grand prix or a 2dr post biscane over a normal muscle car. Now I do really like 70 camaro's and T/A's but they had real attiude.
Got that straight! I remember looking for my first car, I had wanted to go see the car for awhile, and it was a 69 Grand Prix for $2000. I finally called him up but he had just sold it.
I have seen a 50's DeSoto wagon in the garadge magazine that was pretty cool. But I agree with full size fords really sucking pretty much any ford after 1940 sucks.
The 71-73 Mustangs never did it for me back then. A lot of the 50's and '60's cars that I never liked back in the day look pretty cool now. Then I used to think Corvette's were the greatest, now I don't care for them at all. Maybe my back problems have a lot to do with that. Probably some of it aggravated by driving those rough plastic cars with bad seats.
There's not much from the 55-75 period that I don't like, but 59 was a bad year: Cadillac, Buick, & Imperial did little for me. 73 & up Fords & Mercs were none too attractive either, no matter what the model. I liked the 60 Ford & Meteor, but hated the Edsel version - too much tacked on decoration. Didn't mind the 58 or 59 Edsel though.
Always liked the 68-9 Road Runners but hated the dash they put in them. Same with the 68-70 Charger and Cuda etc. The interiors in general just seemed so cheap to me.

The medium ugly are the worst. Not nice enough to like, not ugly/different enough to like. The early 60's Dodges fall in the so ugly they are cool category.

I must be the odd ball on this one. I can't think of an old car I don't like . The bigger the uglier the more I love them.
Birds of a feather, stick together... I feel the same I love anything that moves, and makes a noise (automotive) lol
i took my automotive encyclopedia to bed last night looking for cars that i don't like. didn't find any. and my opinion is if the motor is too small. shoehorn something bigger in. now maybe someone should have asked me about dashes, i for one can't stand the one in a 57 chevy.

I tend to agree. Some are just so ugly, you can't help but like them. At least they're different.
