RE: whats the classic car that just didn't cut it for you?

Not a lot of pre '69 cars that I don't like, Maybe corvettes, Never liked any of 'em. There are a few that were made after that, that I don't mind, but mostly the late 50's early 60's Ford,GM, or Chrysler, don't matter

Ya, like this one for instance......

That's one of the ones I had in mind when I wrote that!

A local Dodge guy here built a race car out of one similar to that.

Forgot about those - the 60-62 Valiant was ugly, so was the Dodge Lancer.

You hit the nail right on the head. Not a classic that I would restore

If anyone else in my family would agree with me, we'd be building a Malibu wagon here too. I really like those little cars. Same with the little coupes in that style.

78-81 Malibu coupe is a nice little car. Up to 1980 at least you could get a 4 speed. I saw a 4 spd car advertised a few weeks ago, but I can't remember where.

A friend of mine had one years ago. 4 speed, 2 door, factory sunroof car.

He sold it after the car sat in about 2 feet of floodwater. $300........

I was so sad when I found out. He knew I was interested in it but thought because it was flooded I wouldn't want it.

The "plucked chickens" have always been a favorite of mine It was like Virgil Exner & crew were in on some early acid trips or something! The off centre hood bulges, frog eyes & bizarre angles, what else could it be?

When i was TD in italy in 2000 they had cars for us to drive, these things were ugly. great handling little cars. little different having the shifter on the dash but butt ugly we used to call them toads.

This is a tough one. I know i'm not big on the Mustang after 1968. Some late 50's finned cars, i prefer the cleaner looks that started to appear after 1960/61 on North American cars. I'd have to say Citroen had some of the oddest looking cars in my opinion.
