I really want to cut something! TINY'S bored! the wagoon is starting to make my wife angry because it is our family car and I brake it atleast once a month so I need to build a race car. As Todd knows I like odd ball stuff and I have a big family and new buisness so im kind of cash poor right now.! But I want to go fast I have the drive train just need a doner.
That Laurentian would make a good '60's nostalgia drag car. A bit heavy when new, but you can cut lot's of weight out of them. Arnie Beswick's '62 Catalina "swiss cheese" frame comes to mind. Make fiberglass bumpers, plexi glass, etc. It will be lighter and less work than a 53-54 car and just as cool.
I had a pile of NOS parts for that car from rear fenders to interior and damn near everything in between- Dana 60 twin traction., 4 speed conversion with a rebuilt T10, disc brake conversion etc. It was going to have a set of Radir wheels with white wall cheater slicks.
I even had NOS doggie dish caps in case I wanted that sleeper look:
The car was sold separate of all the parts. Too bad....
Didnt you have a pic of on with a straight axle? I also liked your 54 but i really should have bought the studde. I dont know what I was thinking. Jimmy bought the trunk pans for his Z28 with his summer money almost brought a tear to my eye Ive created a young Tiny I think we are going to get started on it next week.
I did have a 64 4 door as a daily driver for a short time a couple of years ago. I paid $700 for it:
I sold it to a guy in Michigan. It needed a flywheel. He decided for some reason to put a NOS trans in at the same time he did the flywheel. Well, he put a few miles on it and something gave out in the rear diff causing the drive line to lock up. The transmission case cracked and out of frustration he sent the car to the wreckers!

That's what I had in mind for the 2 dr post Strato Chief I was trying to buy last year. 409/4 spd or 327/4 spd. Have the powertrain, just need the post car to put it in.
