Who else is still stuck at work?

Hope no more than another 30-45 minutes. It's winding down. Boy the time is dragging...........

I might even hit 6th gear and use those 3.08's to the max on the way home. I'm itching to get out of here REAL bad!

Work is 7 miles approx from door to door.

I kept it under 85mph (tops was 84) on the way home.

You do the math:

27" tire

3.08 gears

.5 overdrive in 6th gear

You will see I don't over rev the engine at 84 mph!

Actually a bit before. I've been home for a bit.

Doesn't take long at that speed!!! And very little traffic, which is 24/7/365 here!!!

I sent everyone else home at noon. Had 2 more customers that needed their stuff today.
Finished at 2:15 pm. Now need to load all Santa presents, turn off the lights, finish my wine, lock the doors and set the alarm.

Done @ 2:26. Out of here.

Rick

My last customer left at 1 and I left at 1:05! I took HWY 401 to be quick. Man, it was raining so hard I could hardly see. I took a two hour nap when I got home. I have to be well rested for the turkey dinner tomorrow!biggrin

Didn`t get home till 11:00 last nite and after 6:00 to nite. All those frozen pipes are letting go with these warm temps. I am not on call but helping the guy out that is. He has young kidds so I told him I will take any calls that come in Christmas morning so he can be home. Only 2 more winters to face after this then I can watch it from the window.

I have to say I am thankful for guys like you who are willing to work at this time of year when you should be allowed to be at home relaxing like most people are.

I used to be on a call for the gas station when I was a teenager pumping gas. Small town, major highway and people would get caught too low on fuel. It sucked getting up at 2 am to sell gas. Yes, I got the call out service charge in my own pocket, but it still wasn't any fun in the middle of winter.

The funny thing is, I remember people trying to get me to come down and open up the gas station in the middle of the night and not charge them any kind of service charge for it.... NOT!
