Still waiting for the other 1/2 of the answer on the 93 vs. 94 and up F body 6 speed..... Next- 69 Trans Ams only came in white. Initially they were advertised as being available in two colours. What was the other colour?
How many Trans Am Turbo T/A convertibles were manufactured in 1989?
Turbo converts? I'd say none. I was at the Indy 500 that year and have a pic somewhere of all the Turbo Pace cars comingdown 16th ave. into the track. Not one convertible. Unless they built one for show.
Name two differences between the 6 speed offered in the 93 Firebird/Camaro vs. the 94 and up 6 speed that was offered.
This one has gone unanswered long enough.
The first difference (answered correctly earlier) was the skip shift from 1st to 4th under light throttle.
The second difference was in the overdrive ratio. 94 and up is very steep, .5 to 1 ratio. In other words, a 3.42 rearend is effectively a 1.71 ratio in 6th gear. 93 is much more gentle, I believe somewhere in the .65 area.

Ok, here's my answer. It took some research to get this one. This is quoted from a TTA owner....
GM did not offer a factory convertible TTA. However, one was created by ASC for PAS president Jeff Beitzel. This was one of the 4 pilot cars with t-tops and cloth interior and was owned and driven by Jeff for about 6 month before sold to a collector. The car currently resides in the Atlanta area since many years. I've seen the convertible and sat in it. In addition there's at least 2 TTA's that was sent out to ASC by the dealerships to be converted as could be done with any Firebird in those days.
