I would have lost that bet. A 350 2 barrel came with a TH400 trans! Never heard of such a thing. I don't know that you'd kill a TH350 with one, let alone a TH400. Wonder why they did that...

Lucky man to have had a Lemans Sport and a Nova SS new. Even luckier to have the yellow Ventura now. It's really nice - a great find. I had a 72 Ventura, 6 auto, my second car. It was rusty when I got it in 77 and worse when I sold it in 78 to trade up to a 72 Impala. But I always liked the 71-72 Ventura and have wanted a 72 V8 Sprint ever since. Maybe someday I'll find one ...
it was sitting on the lot!!! I was at the dealership at 8am salesman was in at 8:30 He gave me a price, and I was gone, with the car by 9:15! They cheked the fluids, and I took it home and cleaned it up.. I don't like to wait..
