39 Pontiac

I'll assume this is Canadian built. Dig the 1961
Ontario plate! I've always liked cars from the late 30's.

worth while car!, pretty good shape, still runs excellent, wouldnt do too much with the car, just safety stuff, little bit of rust repair, would drive it as a nostalgic car, leave it alone as much as possible

For some reason I picture it parked at a train station with a big steam locomotive pulling in!

Wouldn't it be neat, to hear the story on it.. I love stories of the how/why if barn finds... It would be neat ,to just clean it ,and drive it. Would it have hydraulic brakes? Carl

Yes Carl they have "juice brakes" It looks a lot like my '36 Olds did. Strong family resemblence.

Other than go through the car mechanically and add new tires, I pretty much left my 54 Chev as found:

It had great floors too:

I took it to a cruise night and more people gathered around it than some of the restored "queens"! This Pontiac (and the other 56(I believe) for sale on here would be the perfect candidate for the same look.

No, I sold that one in 2007. It truly drove like new. It had 47000 miles. I love those 235's! CP member Slinky's neighbor bought it from me. He sold it earlier this year and bought his super clean 67 OHC 6 Tempest. The 54 apparently went to Missisauga.

Do you know if this car was open driveline with coil spring rear suspension? My Canadian 39 is, i was just curious. Do those look like 1937 bumpers to anyone else?
